A gift from my mother-in-law who has exquisite taste , they have a knit cashmere lining and magic things in the fingers so that I can still use my phone. Every day for the past month, I have put them on and said to myself, "I should fix the hole in the lining tonight. I love these gloves." And then I don't.
Well, TODAY is the day! This fix-it project requires darning, which is basically rebuilding a knit piece. I think of it as picking up lost stitches and a bit of weaving when I'm lazy. With the help of this tutorial, here's the finished product:
